Bionaut Labs, a company that supplies microscale robots to revitalize the diagnosis of central nervous system (CNS) diseases and disorders, announced $43.2 million in Series B funding led by Khosla Ventures, bringing the company’s total funding to $63.2 million. Deep Insight, OurCrowd, PSPRS, Sixty Degree Capital, Dolby Family Ventures, GISEV Family Ventures, What if Ventures, Tintah Grace, and Gaingels join existing investors Upfront Ventures, BOLD Capital Partners, Revolution VC, and Compound in the round.
Micron Biomedical is a clinical-stage life sciences company that is developing its Micro Array Patch (MAP) technology for drug and vaccine self-administration and simple, less-skilled caregiver administration without needles. The $14 million Series A funding will support the company’s current commercial manufacturing development and cements a strong partnership between Micron and LTS Lohmann.
Locus Robotics, a leader in autonomous mobile robots (AMR) for fulfilment and distribution warehouses, announced a $117 million Series F funding round led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and G2 Venture Partners. Mark Midle, Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, and Zach Barasz, Partner at G2 Venture Partners, will join the Locus Board of Directors as part of the financing, bringing their unique industry perspectives and insights to help guide Locus’ next stage of growth and global expansion.
Rgenta Therapeutics announced the completion of a $52 million Series A round. AZ-CICC Healthcare Investment Fund led the round, with participation from all existing and new investors, including Korean Investment Partners and Delos Capital. Rgenta Therapeutics focuses on the development of RNA-targeting medicines for previously untreatable disease targets.
The completion of a $65 million Series A-1 financing was announced by iECURE, a gene editing business specializing in the creation of mutation-indifferent in vivo gene insertion, or knock-in, editing therapies for the treatment of serious liver disorders.
Novo Holdings A/S and LYFE Capital co-led the Series A-1 financing, with participation from existing investors Versant Ventures and OrbiMed Advisors.
Stellar, a technology-driven marketplace that solves maintenance at scale for the Single-Family Rental (SFR) market, announced a $20 million Series B growth equity investment.
Weatherford Capital led the funding round, which was also supported by existing investors Brick & Mortar Ventures, S3 Ventures, Alerion Ventures, and Navigate Ventures. This round brings the company’s total venture capital to $35 million, which will be used to improve its technology and platform, hire new employees, and expand into new U.S. markets.
UpStream Healthcare, a leading provider of value-based primary care services and technology, announced a $140 million Series B funding round, bringing its total funding to nearly $185 million. Coatue and Dragoneer, both technology and global growth investors, co-led the round, with participation from other top healthcare and technology investors such as Avidity Partners, Define Ventures, and Mubadala.
August Bioservices, a pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that provides drug discovery, development, and pharmaceutical manufacturing services, announced that it has secured $65 million in Series B funding led by Oak HC/FT, who also led the Series A funding in July 2020. Polaris Partners, an existing investor, has joined this round.
