Dayforward, a digital life insurance firm created for modern families, has announced the acquisition of Commercial Travelers Life Insurance Company, an illustrious insurance carrier founded in 1883. The acquisition coincides with the debut of Dayforward’s revolutionary life insurance solution across the majority of the country, with further national expansion planned through 2023. AXA Venture Partners led a $25 million round of fundraising, with participation from existing investors such as HSCM Ventures, Juxtapose, and Munich Re Ventures.
QuickNode, the premier end-to-end Web3 development platform, has announced the completion of a $60 million Series B investment round. QuickNode was valued at $800 million in the round, led by 10T Holdings, and included Tiger Global, Seven Seven Six, Protocol Labs, and QED, among others. This current amount of funding will be utilized to drive the Company’s global expansion and further empower the builders who are laying the framework for a decentralized, globally linked future.
DailyPay stated that it has raised $260 million in financing to drive domestic growth, expand globally, and engage in product innovation. The money is split between revolving credit facility capacity supplied by Barclays and Angelo Gordon and fresh term loan finance provided by SVB Capital and a Neuberger Berman-managed fund.
Angle Health, a fully-licensed digital-first health insurance provider, announced a $58 million Series A investment round headed by Portage. PruVen Capital, Wing Venture Capital, SixThirty Ventures, Mighty Capital, Wormhole Capital, Mindset Ventures, Crew Capital, Aloft VC, and Pilot founder Waseem Daher all participated in the current round, as did prior investors Blumberg Capital, Correlation Ventures, TSVC, and Y Combinator.
Precision Neuroscience Corporation, a brain-computer interface (BCI) firm creating high-resolution, minimally invasive, and reversible implants, announced a $41 million Series B fundraising round headed by Forepont Capital Partners. Mubadala Capital, Draper Associates, Alumni Ventures, and re. Mind Capital joined existing investors Steadview Capital and B Capital Group in the round.
Pearl Health, a leading technology company concentrated on physician enablement and risk-bearing in value-based care, announced a $75 million Series B funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz’s Growth Fund and Viking Global Investors, with participation from AlleyCorp, SV Angel’s Growth Fund, and other leading investors. The transaction includes $55 million in stock financing and an expected $20 million in a line of credit, bringing Pearl’s total funding to more than $100 million.
Spatial Labs, a premier infrastructure firm that powers innovative technologies to reinvent the consumer experience for the next generation, has announced a $10 million seed investment round. Blockchain Capital, a renowned venture firm in the blockchain industry, led the round. Marcy Venture Partners, founded by Jay-Z, has also returned to invest in this round. With the completion of the seed round, the company’s total capital now exceeds $14 million.
AtomicJar, the business behind the open-source library Test containers, has announced a $25 million Series A fundraising round and the release of Testcontainers Cloud as a public beta. Insight Partners led the investment, which also included current investors boldstart ventures, Tribe Capital, Chalfen Ventures, and Snyk co-founder Guy Podjarny and CEO Peter McKay. Irregular Expressions, a VC fund representing 90+ CTOs and heads of engineering at top digital firms; software industry veteran Walter Scott; and the co-founders of Tackle.io are among the new investors.
